What types of food can someone with chronic diarrhea eat?

I have chronic diarrhea which has gotten worse since my gall bladder was removed in 2004. Two years ago, I was put on Immodium AD twice a day which helps some. But it seems like no matter what I eat, my system gets upset and the whole thing starts again. The dr who diagnosed me didn't have any dietary suggestions. I am sick and tired of being a prisoner of this condition.
