Should I cross-rate to CTN from CTI?

I have already enlisted into the navy as a CTI and am currently in DEP, however, i was doing research and came across the CTN rate. I was wondering if it would be a good decision financially to cross rate to a ctn? Would i increase my amount of possibilities for other jobs outside of the navy if i changed to CTN? Which of the two is more exciting of job within the navy?
