What is your opinion of Dan Brown? and his latest book "the lost symbol"?

Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons were pretty good, I think. I had high hopes for Lost Symbol and even bought the hardcover edition but it wasn't brilliant. Sure, there are a lot of twists and exciting complications but the melodrama gets tiring sometimes and i think there's an overuse of italics too. It's exciting though I guess. Especially if you like history about.. the Masons, was it?
