Side effects of CT scan with Barium & iodine injection?

Hello. I got really bad cramps, stomach pain, and diarrhea when i got a scan with the Barium. I got so sick after i came home, i called the doctor to let him know what was going on, and he said it was from the Barium, and should go away with 24 hours ( which it did ). I'm sure that having Diverticulitis is probably just making it worse. Antibiotics can also cause stomach distress. It's probably a combination of all these things that is making you feel so bad. Once the dye gets out of your system, you should start to feel better. Take care.
