Question about PSAT and National Merit?

If I got my PSAT score back and it's higher than the selection index score that you need to qualify, what does that mean? Does it mean I'm commended? Or a semifinalist? And if it means I'm commended, what do I have to do to be considered for semifinalist and then finalist status?
