I agree with all you said. But even if we weren't slaves in America, in Africa white settlers also owned slaves, many Africans have European last names like we do, (NOT AS MUCH AS WE DO) but some do. Also MOST of the land is owned by EUROPEANS in Africa(I mean the rich land that contain rich minerals like gold,diamonds etc) so I really don't know what would have been if slavery had never happened in America, but you are right, "If you don't know your past how can you change your future."
