Orchestra piece about WWII pilot?

My mum is a music teacher, and she brought home a paper about a particular piece that was written about a pilot who was shot down during WWII. There was even a story about the conductor not giving the audience the back-story, and then a veteran having to leave because the song brought back memories. I really wanted to listen to it, but I forgot the name! I know this is really general (sorry!) but does this sound familiar? Anybody know the name?

How can I get him to spend more time for me, to make room in his life for me?

My boyfriend never has time to see me anymore. He is always busy with work (he does have a very demanding job and has to travel every week and work late alot) but he could find some time for me as he finds time for everything else. He finds time to babysit for his daughter when she and her husband go out , he finds time to drive his daughter to the airport all the time even though she has a husband and a car of her own, he finds time to go shopping for his new home, he finds time for his hobbies but is always too busy for me. I like to stay overnight with him and I seldom can because I have to work some saturday and sunday mornings but I have a few but last time I couldln't spend the night because he had to get up really early to take his daughter to the airport and didn't have time to bring me back home (I don't have a car). I am on vacation from work this week so I have the weekend free for a change but I know he will be too busy to take me out. He is mid 50's.

Can an employer who is paying mileage to go to an offsite workplace force you to take pengers and carpool?

Can they make you ride with someone else if it not a company vehicle? I need to know where the information comes from if they cannot. I need to be able to cite where it came from. It's very important. The driver that is currently being forced to take pengers is not insured and is being required to transport propane as well tools and equipment required for work. This is not a construction job. Most of us are women and uncomfortable taking one or two men in the vehicle. (we are not ist, just cautious about ual harrasment). The employer is making it sound like if we don't carpool we won't have jobs, but no one thinks that just one person should be paid to get to work. We all need the extra funds. Any information would help. We are in Michigan. Any state or local laws relevant would also help. Thanks!!

Have they really driven me crazy? ?

I'm currently 29 years old. Through the first 20 years of my life I was forced to live in solitude by an emotionally abusive alcoholic uncle. I was afraid to have friends over because of his violent rages. After I turned 21 and started my career I lost myself in my work. I became a heavy workoholic working 6 days a week and constantly focusing myself on fixing other people's problems. By 29 everyone's lives had begun to settle down. I had changed careers to something completely slower than what I was used to. As the haze began to wear off I realized that I have problems with intimacy and establishing friendships so I began to see a counselor. In actuality I had still carried all of the signs of being in that abusive environment. I still seclude myself from people who want to know me as a person. My question is that if it's possible for someone to drive a kid so madly insane that they don't really know who they are? Is it possible to break a cycle that you have known all of your life to be so lost in your own thoughts that you can't even determine what is real or not? I'm not a bad person. I just don't know who I am.
